FAQs
Preorders
What is a preorder and why do you do this?
A preorder means you are ordering a product that is not immediately available in our warehouse but is in the process of being crafted by our artisans in Mexico. We offer preorders to ensure that each pair of shoes is made specifically for you, minimizing waste and supporting our slow fashion model. Preorders typically take 3-4 weeks to ship, but we aim to ship them as soon as they become available.
Shipping
How long does it take to process a purchase?
Processing time varies depending on whether the item is in stock or a preorder. In-stock items typically take 2-3 business days to process, while preorders take around 3-4 weeks due to the artisanal nature of our products.
How long does it take to arrive?
Once shipped, delivery time depends on your location and shipping method chosen at checkout. Standard shipping within the U.S. usually takes 5-7 business days. Expedited shipping options are also available.
Can I pay for an expedite shipping for a preorder?
We suggest you don't, if you're purchasing a product that states it will be delayed, paying for an expedite shipping label will result in higher costs but not in faster delivery. Please keep this in mind when selecting your shipping method.

Do you offer free shipping on returns?
We do not offer free shipping on returns. Return shipping labels need to be purchased through our return portal or independently. We strive to keep our prices fair for our customers and artisans by not including hidden costs.
Can I return my purchase?
Yes, you can return your purchase within 30 days of receiving it, provided that the shoes are unworn and in their original condition. Please use our return portal linked above to initiate the process.
Can I exchange my purchase?
Yes, exchanges are possible through our return portal. If you’d like a different size or style, you can process the exchange request, and we’ll ship the new pair once we receive the original item.
Fitting
Is it normal to feel them super snug at first?
Yes! Our huarache shoes are crafted to fit snugly at first so they can mold to your foot's shape, offering an extra level of comfort over time. They will soften and stretch slightly with wear, making them incredibly comfortable. If they feel loose initially, they may become too big after breaking in.
What size should I get? Are they true to size?
- Shoes with a back: Round down if you’re between sizes. For example, if you wear a size 7.5, go down to a 7 to ensure a snug fit. They might feel tight at first, but the leather will stretch to fit your feet within a few wears.
- Slides: Since they don't have a heel, snugness isn’t as crucial. Many customers prefer a longer sole, so if you’re a size 7.5, opt for an 8.
About the Company
How artisanal are your shoes?
Very artisanal! All of our shoes are handmade by shoemaking artisans in Sahuayo, Guanajuato, one of Mexico's top shoemaking towns. We work directly with artisans to ensure high-quality materials, fitting, and design while preserving traditional weaving techniques and styles. This artisanal process can lead to longer production times and variations in leather color, which are normal and part of the unique charm of handmade products.
